SCHOOL CLOSINGS
We follow the Groton-Dunstable Regional School District school calendar with regard to holidays, school vacations and school closings during the school year. 

When Groton Community School is open, parents/guardians are encouraged to make individual decisions within their comfort level regarding attendance for their children in the event of inclement weather. 

Groton Community School is automatically closed when the Groton-Dunstable School District is closed.  The Director will always opt for the safer decision regarding the opening or closing of school. In the event of a delayed opening, the following radio and local television stations will announce those schools affected: WBZ 1030 AM or Channel 4 on TV, and WHDH 850 AM, or Channel 7 on TV. Don’t forget to look for the Groton-Dunstable Schools. Families who choose may also receive notice by phone of school closings or delays through our Parent Reach notification system.

Any delayed opening by the Groton-Dunstable School District will result in a 1-hour delay for Groton Community School children.

CURRICULUM NIGHTS
Each program will schedule an evening for adults in September or October.

CONFERENCE CALLS
Teachers will call parents/guardians in October for informal phone conferences.

CHILDREN'S WRITTEN OBSERVATIONS 
will be shared with families in January and in May. Families of children receiving special services will also receive a written observation in the fall.  Although parents/guardians are encouraged to meet with teachers at any time, formal conferences will be offered in January.
