Thank You For Your Help!
What a great couple of days for fun in the sun outside on our playground for Wet & Wild Days. The giant water slide was the popular place to be, as was our fabulous sand box and water log. There is nothing like being able to take your shoes off and wade in wet sand to keep cool on a hot and sunny day. The children all used muscle, careful planning, and team work to keep the water log running and make long and winding roads. I imagine that they all slept well at the end of their busy day!
We pride ourselves in our fabulous outdoor Playscape, where the children are so fortunate to spend time each day; and it is the hands of some many wonderful parent volunteers that make this possible. During the month of May, we had several weekend work projects to keep the playground well maintained and looking so nice. Our greenhouse is being well utilized and stocked with seedlings, the garden beds have been mulched and edged, and the sandbox has a fancy new edging that will help to keep the sand inside, as well as offer a comfortable seat to onlookers. The various heights of the carefully placed logs will also offer a fun, yet challenging, path for children to maneuver from one end of the sandbox to the other. We can’t thank the following volunteers enough for all of their time, hard work, and expertise. All of these volunteer hours help to save the school thousands of dollars in the operating budget, which in turn, helps tremendously to keep GCS tuition down. Please join me in recognizing and thanking the following:
