Each April, Groton Community School celebrates early learning, young children, their teachers and families in honor of NAEYC’s Week of the Young Child. As a nationally accredited center, we look forward to this week to advocate for the importance of early childhood education along with the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
We have planned special school-wide and classroom events, and are reaching out to community friends and neighbors the week of April 9th to 13th. We are planting seeds of kindness by growing vegetables for the Growing Places Garden Project Youth Education Program, decorating and planting flowers in Community Buckets to give to neighborhood friends, and celebrating Peace with our annual spring Peace Picnics. We are very excited to welcome a children’s performer, too!
All GCS Families are invited to join us on Monday, April 9th at 11:15 AM or 1:15 PM for musical fun with Liz Buchanan of Antelope Dance Music & Litearcy! Check out Liz’s website, and come make music with us for Music Monday!!
