Helping Hand with Healthy Foods
Each Halloween at GCS, we like to celebrate with school-wide pajama days and special classroom activities, such as creative art projects, Halloween stories, music and games, and cooking projects. As we celebrate this “trick or treat” season, we also think of others less fortunate. For some families, healthy foods are a real treat.
Join us in collecting non-perishable breakfast foods for the local Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, and make a difference for local families, while also teaching GCS children kindness and caring for others. Our food drive will begin Monday, October 28th and run through Thursday, October 31st. Examples include cereal, granola, granola bars, oatmeal, muffin mixes, fruit in cans/jars (no glass), dried fruit, peanut butter, pancake mix, etc.
School-wide GCS Pajama Days will be held on Wednesday, October 30th and Thursday, October 31st. Everyone is invited to join us – children and teachers alike – in wearing pajamas all day!
