We hope you can join us!
It is an annual tradition at Groton Community School to gather school-wide in our Big Room for holiday music together before the Holiday Break. All GCS Families are welcome to attend, even if it is not their child’s school day.
Sharing in music is such an amazing gift to give to each other. Please read a wonderful article “20 Important Benefits of Music in Our Schools” shared by the National Association for Music Education: nafme.org/20-important-benefits-of-music-in-our-schools/ From language and auditory development to motor skills, imagination, curiosity, and creativity, to discipline, risk-taking, and a sense of achievement, music provides so many avenues for learning and personal growth. Whatever the age, music fills life with joy and creates “community”, something we especially value here at Groton Community School!
