Help us celebrate and teach caring for others!
We are sponsoring school-wide Pajama Days on Monday, October 30th and Tuesday, October 31st as part of our Halloween Happenings. We like to celebrate Halloween at school, but realize that some young children may be afraid of costumes without Mom or Dad at their side. For fun and excitement, we opt to wear our PJs at GCS! Pajamas are of course optional, and it is a good idea to pack a change of clothes for your child just in case. Please see more details from your child’s teacher about classroom happenings.
One of our goals for children here at GCS is to be kind and helpful to others. We would like to “treat” some local families to a healthy breakfast by donating non-perishable breakfast items to Loaves and Fishes, our local food bank (No glass containers, please).
A breakfast food drive is a wonderful addition to our Pajama Day. Decorated boxes will be located in each classroom. Suggested items are cereal, breakfast bars, pancake mix, maple syrup, muffin mixes, packages of oatmeal, peanut butter, and canned or dried fruit. Please help us teach children kindness and caring for others, and bring donated items between October 23rd & 31st.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
